WRITING & HISTORY TUTOR
I work with students of all ages to improve their writing and analytical skills.
To my writing students, I stress the importance of seeing words as tools to express ideas and then teach them how to organize those ideas and delineate them. I teach them to write lucid and concise papers that adhere to professional stylistic standards.
To my history students, I teach them not only facts, but to examine how and why facts connect, to see causality among an array of dates and events. This approach has successfully prepared students for the AP History Exam and SAT II subject test in History.
I also edit undergraduate and graduate-level papers, including Masters theses.
